Unlike other street festivals, which depend on national touring acts and marquee names to attract teeming crowds, the Bucktown Arts fest’s music stage is proud to put the spotlight on the remarkable musicians who live in and perform around Bucktown and its surrounding neighborhoods. Our diverse music lineup, then, reflects the rest of the fest, offering visitors the chance to discover the talent within their midst and expose themselves to a range of musical styles from blues to bluegrass, jazz to indie rock.

Submissions:

Although the music stage has limited performance slots and gives precedence to local artists, we do accept submissions from bands who would like to be considered for the music lineup. Send an electronic press kit, MySpace page or other relevant links to music clips and bios (no MP3 attachments, please) to music@bucktownartsfest.com.

Be aware that due to the volume of submissions, we cannot respond to most query e-mails personally. We will contact finalists by April 30.
