We were amazed to see the love for our BAF poster contest around the world this year! With more than 150 submissions from artists in the United Kingdom, Hungary, Poland, Italy, South Korea, India, Turkey, Bangladesh, Germany, Lithuania, Portugal, and of course, the United States – it was truly a global competition.
Wow. We weren’t sure we could pick just one.
To everyone who submitted – thank you for your heart and creativity. There were so very many creative, colorful and diverse designs – and we just get so excited to see what you can do with a goat! We only wish we had more fests to promote so that we could have chosen them all.
After much deliberation, Janne Timperi’s design of a goat eating a paint brush won us over. What’s better than a paint brush eating goat? It was such a clever twist on what we do each year and such a bold image that we felt it was the perfect introduction to our 30th year.
After our choice, we learned that Janne sent in his design from Finland where he is an illustrator with an amazing portfolio that includes many other genius, gorgeous poster designs. Thank you Janne. And congratulations!
The Bucktown Arts Fest Volunteer Committee will see you at the park August 29-30!
